中国から、10名のお客様がいらっしゃいました。そのお客様とは、中国の少年野球チームに所属している小学生の皆様です。野球チームの監督をされているご夫婦が日本に対して大変好意的に思われており、教え子たちにも早いうちに日本を見せておきたいと考えて、今回、来日されました。「日本の学校も見せてあげたい」というご要望をお聞きし、ご来校いただきました。

当日は、2年生とふれ合う時間を設けました。中国のことについて教えてもらったり、日本の伝統文化である折り紙を伝えて一緒に遊んだり、野球好きな子たちですので〝大谷グローブ〟を紹介したりしました。短い時間ではありましたが、お互いに異文化を知る貴重な機会となりました。

「教頭先生！」児童2名が職員室を訪れて、〝がんばった成果〟を報告してくれました。7月14日(日)に千葉市で行われた全国小学校陸上競技交流大会千葉県選考会に参加し、賞状をいただいたそうです。賞状を見せていただくと、千葉県で5位、14位という素晴らしい成績が書かれてありました。校外でも自分の力を発揮し活躍する姿に感心するとともに、日頃学校で見せてくれている姿とはまた違った個性や力に驚かされました。せっかくですので、校長先生から賞状を渡してもらう〝セレモニー〟を行って、活躍を称えました。

本日保護者様宛に、夏休みの各種コンクールの募集要項･作品カードを配信しました。夏休みを使って、作文や図画、書写や自由研究など、得意なことや興味をもっていることなどに取り組んでみるのはいかがでしょうか。各種コンクールに挑戦して、校外でも大いに力を発揮してほしいと思います。

It is the last day of English Camp. Today, we performed our original skits. It was so fun to see everyone trying their best. We also went over the photo contest results. The pictures were so wonderful!!

After that, we had the closing ceremony and heard speeches from our student, our teachers, and even our principal.

They all did great job. We made so many memories at English camp and we will miss our native teachers!

 

 

We started English Camp Day2 with morning exercise. After breakfast, we went outside and played sports like volleyball, badminton, and soccer. In the morning we practiced phrases to use in different situations like restaurants, pet stores and so much more! We also worked on our English skits.

After lunch, we visited Sengen shrine and tried hard to explain Japanese shrine vocabulary to our English teachers. In the evening, we had a  photo contest! We took pictures and said a short speech about each one. It was a fun filled day.

English Camp2024 has just started. We dropped off our bags and started with the opening ceremony. Some students gave a speech about our school and welcomed native teachers. After lunch, we practiced self-introductions and learned about our group teachers. We also played games like Pictionary and Charades. It was fun!

We started practicing for our English skits. We have to write and rehearse our own skits all in English! We will continue to practice for all of our camp.
