It was a beautiful sunny morning, so we did morning stretches outside in nature. After morning exercises, we enjoyed eating our last breakfast together with the teachers. Then the students did their final skit presentation in front of all the native teachers and their classmates. Finally, the photo contest and skit results were announced. All the skits were amazing and showcased their original ideas. English Camp came to an end with the closing ceremony and farewell speeches from both the students and teachers. We all had wonderful experiences for the past three days and created memories that will last for a long time.
It stopped raining, so we were able to do recreation activities such as soccer, frisbee, and dodgeball. We had so much fun playing outside in nature. After lunch, we went on a walk to a nearby shrine. It was a very old and beautiful place. The students explained about the culture of Japanese shrines to their English teachers. When we returned to the hotel, students split into their English group and continued working on writing the script and acting for their skit. After that, the students took part in indoor recreation activities such as card games, and dance with other English groups.
Students then participated in a photo contest with their English group. They really enjoyed coming up with original photo ideas.
We started the day with morning exercises in English with the camp leader. After that, we enjoyed a delicious and healthy breakfast. Then we split into our groups and practiced different situational conversations in English. They changed classrooms and were able to experience new conversation topics with different teachers. It was fun practicing English with all the other teachers.
After a fun-filled morning of activities, we had lunch with our friends and teachers!
English Camp Day
Our first day at English Camp2022 has just started. During the opening ceremony, we met the new English teachers and they introduced themselves. Two students gave welcome speech to the new teachers. After the welcome speech, our students gave a speech about Showa Gakuin Elementary School.
Then the students split into their English groups and enjoyed activities such as gesture games, teacher quiz, and vocabulary games. For self-introduction, students practiced pronunciation, eye contact, and using a loud voice.
Teachers changed classrooms so students could get to know all the teachers.
