10月1日に朝礼をテレビ放送で行いました。

朝礼では校長先生の話の他に、9月に行われた5年林間学校、6年イングリッシュキャンプの感想を、5•6年それぞれの代表児童が話しました。

また、生徒指導担当から10月の目標についての話があり、特に挨拶の目的やよりよい方法について考えました。

挨拶は、相手を思いやる気持ちを表したものです。子どもたちは「校内あちらこちらからすてきな挨拶が聞こえてくる学校にしたい！」と、気持ちを新たにしたようでした。

We have finally come to our last day at English Camp this year. All of us are both happy to have accomplished so much in these three days as well as sad that we have to say goodbye to so many wonderful teachers and friends we have met along the way. Today, we put on our skits that we have worked so hard on. It was so exciting to have everyone laugh at all of our funny plays. After that, we had the award ceremony where the top three groups received a certificate to congratulate all their hard work. We took some final pictures and said goodbye. Our student representative gave the final closing speech before we headed off to lunch. We are excited to see our family and friends back home to show them how much we learned this trip!

We finally finished our second day at English Camp. We had fun playing with our teachers doing many English activities. After that, we discussed many issues in English debates. Then we went to Sengen Shrine with our teachers, and saw some very beautiful scenery. When we came back, we took a bath and practiced our plays. Then we ate dinner and then practiced some more for our skits. Last, we wrote thank you letters to our teachers and our second day's journal. We are super excited to put on our skits tomorrow. Stay tuned!

This morning, everyone woke up early to start our second day at English Camp. After we woke up, we did a little bit of exercise and then went to eat breakfast. After breakfast we practiced some phrases for our English World activity and did role playing activities. Then, half of us worked on our skits for tomorrow, and the other half of us took part in the English World activity. We just finished lunch after ordering our food from our teachers. Now we are playing outside before we start our afternoon activities.

 

We just finished our first day at English Camp 2020. We arrived at school and got on the bus right away. When we arrived, we gave our opening ceremony speech as well as our school introduction speech. For lunch, we ate wonderful curry and then immediately started our English speaking practice lessons. We shared our self-introduction notebooks with our new native English teacher. We also practiced country names and had quizzes on world information. After that, we took group photos with our teachers and then shared our self-introduction notebooks with the teachers from other groups as well! Then we started work on our play that we will perform on the last day of this English Camp. After having delicious chicken for dinner, we enjoyed taking part in fun English activities like Pictionary and Guess-That-Picture. Last, we wrote our first day's activities in our journals. Tomorrow, we look forward to having even more fun!
