今日は、昭和オリンピックが行われました。
スポーツテストの種目や、いつも遊んでいる一輪車や竹馬など多くの種目が行われました。子どもたちはグランドや校内を回りメダルを目指して頑張りました。

読書月間の今月は毎週、様々な催しが行われています。
今日は辞書引き大会。
３～６年生のクラス予選を勝ち抜いたメンバーが集まり決勝大会が行われました。
たくさんの応援のなか、みんな真剣な眼差しで取り組んでいました。

今日はJAXAの方に来て頂き、お話をして頂きました。
宇宙について、宇宙飛行士の仕事について、そして快挙を成し遂げた「はやぶさ」と
打ち上げが控えている「はやぶさ２」について詳しく分かりやすく説明して頂きました。宇宙がとても身近に感じられた時間でした。

しおりコンテストや辞書引き大会、委員会児童による読書オリエンテーリングなど、読書月間の今月はイベントがたくさん。
その中で今日は、景山聖子さんに来て頂き読書パフォーマンスを行いました。声のプロの読み聞かせに子ども達は目を輝かせていました。

Today we had our big Halloween party at school! All of the boys and girls dressed up in their favorite costumes. First, we had fun dancing to lots of songs with our friends. Then it was game time! Grades 1 and 2 played "Duck, Duck, Goose" in the gym. Grades 3 and 4 played "Pin the tail on the Donkey.2 Grades 5 and 6 put their hands in mystery boxes and felt some very strange and scary things. Last, all of us at school went Trick-or-Treating around lots of classrooms and received many sweets and candies. We got to have lots of fun with our friends! It was a good day!
