Thank you to all who participated in the 2023 English Speech Contest! This year the first through fourth graders recited stories that they had been learning from in their English classes. Students in fifth and sixth grade wrote their own speeches. The topic for fifth grade was "I like..." and the topic for sixth grade was "My Favorite Memory at Showa" or "My Dream." They worked very hard to write and perform their speeches. Each speech was very difficult to judge. Each student practiced very hard and brought enthusiasm to their speech. It was a great experience to see how the students have grown and improved since auditions. Thank you again, and we can’t wait to see what happens next year!
