English Speech Contest 2021

Today we held the 2021 English Speech Contest!
First, second, third, and fourth grade students performed in groups with stories from English class. Fifth and sixth grade students presented their own written speeches. Fifth graders were given the topic "My Hobby" and sixth grade was able to choose between "My Dream" and "My Favorite Memory at Showa."
Each speech was judged on five criteria: voice, speed, pronunciation, eye contact, and originality. Each student worked hard to incorporate unique gestures, voices, pictures, and even audience participation into their speeches!
Every speech was filled with enthusiasm and hard work. The students put a lot of effort into performing well and made judging very difficult! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with the speech competition. We are already looking forward to next year!
